Sichuan Dynasty: Experience Authentic Sichuan Cuisine in Overland Park

Met with a business friend here for lunch yesterday 1/15/25. I ordered a pretty standard dish, General Tso's Chicken, and Rangoons, and was very happy with the whole experience. It was my first time here, and the gentleman that was our server pointed out 3 signature dishes, that sounded amazing, but they're spicy and well.. my body doesn't agree with spicy sadly. But ask them about those dishes if you visit and have them if you come, and I recommend you do!

The dish in the pick i had already eating probably 30% of the food and the price was maybe $14 after taxes. The service was as fast as I had seen from a restaurant in ages. The flavor is particularly nice. It was busy on Christmas Day. You will not be disappointed!

It took me a year to get here, but it was worth the wait. Sichuan Dynasty is fantastic!! we had the six spicy wontons (#5) and they were wonderful! My wife got the hot and sour soup and found it to be a bit lacking in flavor. We shared the Milk and Honey Shrimp. It was DELICIOUS! Wow!! I mean it was incredible! It's a bit on the pricey side, but you get a huge serving and what we had was super good. We both ate to full and have enough left for one lunch tomorrow for $41 with tip. 3 meals. Love it. We'll be back!

Absolute fire!! I had the spicy roast pig intestines and the crispy duck. The duck was alright, but the pig intestines were absolutely AMAZING . So savory, so hearty, so umami . The sichuan peppercorns felt like I had my tongue on a 9Volt battery but the flavor of the intestines was so good that I didnt care 10/10 experience, I highly recommend

One of the very best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. In fact, it’s hard to know truly good Chinese food until you’ve been somewhere like Sichuan Dynasty, which beats all others in the region. The complex flavors melding together, the rich and unique sauces, the perfectly plated and arranged portions — they all come together perfectly. The service was friendly and responsive,

We ordered Pad Thai, Chicken Lo Mein, Spicy Dumplings and Crab Rangoon. Everything was very good and came out fast, possibly cause we were very early dining at 4:45. As you can see the portion size is enormous. Four star for service because no one really came back to our table after we ordered, except to bring our food and then our ticket.

Sichuan Dynasty in Overland Park is hands down the best Chinese food spot in the Kansas City metro. Every dish we tried was packed with bold, authentic flavors, and the experience exceeded all expectations. The highlight of the meal was, without a doubt, the cumin lamb. Perfectly cooked and bursting with aromatic spices, it was rich, tender, and completely unforgettable. It’s a dish that alone makes this place worth the visit. We also ordered a variety of other dishes, and each one delivered. The crab Rangoon had the perfect crispy texture and creamy, flavorful filling. The Sichuan spicy wontons were tender, with an addictive, fiery sauce that brought just the right kick. The beef with cilantro and peppers was fresh, savory, and balanced, while the chicken wings were fried to perfection—crispy and juicy in every bite. Even the wonton soup impressed with its warm, flavorful broth and perfectly wrapped wontons. To round it out, the stir-fried green beans were simply amazing: crisp, garlicky, and bursting with flavor. Sichuan Dynasty’s portions are generous, the menu is extensive, and the flavors are unmatched. Whether you’re a fan of spicy Sichuan cuisine or simply looking for the best Chinese food in town, this is the place to go. The cumin lamb alone will keep me coming back, but every dish proves that Sichuan Dynasty is a true hidden gem. Five stars all the way—do yourself a favor and try it.

The food came out fresh and piping hot! We ordered from their authentic Sichuan menu and ordered some of their special food off their special menu! Food is very good and plentiful and I highly recommend it! Very authentic flavors. The hosts were very kind and recommended some other foods as well!
